Los equipos utilizados para la fabricación de las 321.000 unidades de traviesas en concreto
pre-esforzado fue adquirido a la empresa Sici de Italia.
El fabricante de los equipos Sici de Italia realizo el montaje de estos equipos en Colombia
en el tiempo establecido, presto durante el desarrollo de la obra un soporte tecnico con
suministro de repuesto en el servicio de posventa.

Estas traviesas fueron fabricadas en el municipio de Puerto Berrío (Ant) - Colombia, entre
el mes de julio de 1997 y noviembre de 1998.
El cumplimiento de los estándares de calidad y el tiempo pactado fue satisfactorio y hoy
esta vía se encuentra operando sin ninguna novedad.

Concrete Sleepers for KTMB’s Railway Network
AIO Business Sdn Bh d (the company) has been manufacturing Pr e-Stressed Meter
Gauge Monoblock Concrete Sleepers for the Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB –
Malaysian Railway Authority) railway networks since 1998.
The company’s sleeper production plant is equipment with machineries and moulds fro m
SICI s.r.l of Italy. In total there are t wo (2) production lines consisting of 63 moulds with 8
cavities in each mould. Thus, having a total of 1008 concrete sleeper
s production per
cycle.
Besides supplying the company with the ab ove equipments, SICI also provided the
concrete sleeper design through its associate s and networking. The concrete sle epers
were designed for train speed of maximu m 160km/h and train axle load maxi mum of 20
tonnes.
Since initial production in 1998 , the company did not encounter any major production
disruptions due to the reliability of SICI’s machineries. Further
more, majority of
components and part used by SICI on all their machineries are of international standards
and are easily replaced locally – huge advantages in maintenance and repairs downtime.

By the present to certify that:
We entered into an agreement with Messrs. S.I.C.I. srl – Italy for the supply of a
plant for prestressed sleeper production with Long Line system.
Plant have been delivered and commissioned by S.I.C.I. as contractually
agreed on October 2004; training of our laborers has been achieved by SICI’s
supervisor.
Since that time our factory “RWS Optimum” has already produced 827.000
concrete sleepers related to the Contracts for which our Company has been
awarded by the State Joint-Stock Railway Company “Uzbek Railways”.
In accordance with a new Contract our plant is now producing the 170.000
sleepers for the State Joint-Stock Railway Company “Uzbek Railways”.
The concrete sleepers we are producing named BF 70, is a new type of
prestressed concret sleeper with elastic fastening Pandrol Fastclip developed
and designed accordingly to EN 13230 – 1 and 2 norms.
The sleepers design has been developed with the assistance of Messrs. S.I.C.I.
srl.
Finally we are pointing out our satisfaction on the after sale and the
collaboration relationship between our Company and S.I.C.I. srl.

Oggetto: dichiarazione
Premesso che CONSTA JV (Consorzio Stabile di cui Mattioli S.p.A. è partner), è impegnata nella
riabilitazione di una tratta ferroviaria in Etiopia.
MATTIOLI S.p.A. ha acquistato da S.I.C.I. srl con sede in Fornovo Taro, un impianto industriale
per la produzione di traverse ferroviarie in calcestruzzo armato precompresso.
Il contratto per la fornitura di suddetto impianto è stato firmato in data 22/02/2007; le consegne
previste sono state effettuate rispettando le condizioni di contratto ed in alcuni casi anticipando le
suddette condizioni.
L’impianto è stato regolarmente montato ed avviato dai tecnici S.I.C.I. srl nel ns. cantiere di Dire
Dawa – Etiopia durante il mese di Novembre 2007 e, alla data attuale, sta regolarmente
producendo la quantità di traverse previste.
Confermiamo altresì la qualità dell’assistenza ricevuta dalla S.I.C.I. srl che ha soddisfatto le ns.
aspettative.
