DISTRACTED DRIVING KILLS!
As time passes, the evidence
becomes clearer and clearer that
electronic device use while
operating a vehicle (whether it
comes in the form of cellphoning, texting, e-mail access,
Bluetooth use, or any of the other
potentially distractive forms of
communication or
entertainment) is a lifethreatening proposition.
Within the waterfront’s
industrial environment, those
hazards take on an even greater
meaning and pose an even
greater risk.
The most recent study
undertaken by the Automobile
Association of America (AAA)
now points an accusatory finger
at hands-free cell phone use.

¡DESTREZAS DE MANEJO DISTRACTIVO!
Al paso del tiempo, se comprueba cada vez
más que el uso de equipos electrónicos
mientras se opera un vehículo (ya sea
utilizar el celular para hablar, "textear",
escuchar música, enviar mensajes, uso del
“Bluetooth”, o cualquier otra forma
potencialmente
distractora
de
comunicación o entretenimiento) es una
combinación que pone en riesgo la vida.
En el ambiente del trabajo marítimo, los
peligros toman una prominencia mayor y
representan riesgos aún mayores.
Uno de los estudios más recientes de la
Asociación de Automóviles de América
(AAA) señala con el dedo acusador todo
tipo de uso del celular sin las manos
(“hands free”).
