El medio urbano en que se inserta la parcela es el característico de “la periferia”, entendida esta como un vivo y muy actual
fenómeno urbano, no sólo social demográfico, productivo, etc., sino como una cultura arquitectónica de emergente importancia.
Por una topografía de colinas, pequeñas montañas y una gran riqueza vegetal. Esta condición confiere al lugar elegido para la
construcción del Nuevo Hospital de unas vistas inmejorables y un entorno potencialmente sanador en sí mismo.
Esta dualidad de edificio de periferia inserto en este enclave tan valioso ha dirigido nuestra propuesta, dando como resultado en
un edificio inequívoco, identificable y generador de un entorno paisajístico cuidado y sofisticado, asumiendo de este modo el
papel que el repertorio de hitos urbanos tendría un hospital de estas características.

Este trabajo se ocupa directa e indirectamente en la optimización de los espacios al servicio del Programa. Sin embargo, queremos destacar el
empeño en el tratamiento ambiental de los espacios internos. En primer lugar de modo que ningún puesto de trabajo permanente ni los de
tratamiento sanitario, carezca de luz natural y vistas bien al exterior, bien a espacios exteriores internos peculiares de especial interés, a través
de los patios abiertos en el edificio. Estas consideraciones explícitas para estas funciones se llevan al extremo en espacios serviles
normalmente marginados, como los “estar” de pacientes, diversas zonas de espera, etc. En todos ellos la luz natural se maneja directa o
indirectamente como material ambiental.
El resultado, creemos que aún muy sujeto a la drástica austeridad e inexorable funcionalidad sanitaria y economía presupuestaria, consigue una
versatilidad sobradamente amplia de espacios adecuados a cada función pormenorizada y un sistema espacio-ambiental de calidad para las
circulaciones, tanto verticales como horizontales.
This work deals directly and indirectly in the optimization of space at the service of the Program. However, we appreciate the efforts in the environmental management of
the internal spaces. First so that no permanent job nor health treatment, lack of natural light and views either abroad or at special interest peculiar internal outdoor spaces,

La circulación vehicular ha sido diseñada para la mejor eficacia funcional sin
interferencias entre sí (accesos a urgencias, servicio de abastecimiento y
salidas, residuos, vehículos privados personal, salidas desde el
mortuorio,..etc.) NI con la circulación peatonal, acentuándola con las masas
arboladas y jardinería. Hemos cuidado también el tránsito peatonal y su
relación con el entorno para proporcionar un carácter de paseo al itinerario
más relajado con propósito determinado de acceso al hospital.
Finalmente, el solar es apto para la forestación y ajardinamiento, con el
beneficio medio ambiental y paisajístico que supondrá para el entorno.
The traffic flow has been designed for better operational efficiency
without interference each other (access to emergency services, supply
and outputs, waste, personal private vehicles, departures from the
mortuary, .. etc.) NI pedestrian circulation, accentuating it with tree
stands and gardening. We care too pedestrian and their relationship with
the environment to provide a basis for the more relaxed ride with
purposeful access route to the hospital.
Finally, the site is suitable for afforestation and landscaping, with the
environmental and landscape will benefit for the environment.

Las instalaciones del edificio se proyectan en el edificio independiente con excepción del tratamiento de
aire, con la intención de eliminar las posibles molestias que estos espacios generan, como ruidos,
salidas de humos, chimeneas de ventilación, etc. La cafetería esta propuesta aneja al edificio pero
independiente a éste, para evitar posibles olores que contaminen la atmósfera del edificio principal. La
zona hospitalaria como tal, se organiza en dos plantas, configurando un edificio eminentemente
horizontal y con una imagen muy singular que responde estrictamente a las necesidades programáticas,
a la calidad ambiental y confort de los espacios pretendido. El programa se ordena en bandas paralelas
entre sí alternando patios y vegetación y programa construido a ambos lados del corredor que conecta
las distintas funciones del mismo.
Building facilities are projected in the separate building with the exception of air treatment,
with the intention of eliminating any inconvenience that these spaces generated as noise,
flues, ventilation shafts, etc. The cafe attached to the building proposal but independent to
it, to avoid odors that contaminate the atmosphere of the main building. The hospital area
as such, is organized on two floors, forming an essentially horizontally and with a singular
image that fully complied with the program requirements, environmental quality and
comfort of building spaces intended. The program is organized in parallel bands together
alternating patios and vegetation and program built on both sides of the corridor that
connects the different functions.
