The plant is located near the village of Hothfield, near Ashford
(Kent), and it represents a total investment of over £7 million.
In October, the company announced it would begin
construction of an 8.9MW solar farm in Eastbourne, East
Sussex, on the south coast of England.
The solar farm will generate enough electricity to provide for
1,850 homes and avoid the emission of 62,300 tonnes of CO2
during its lifetime.
OPDE is on track to meet its objective of connecting 100 MW
of photovoltaic capacity by March 2015.
November 3, 2014. – OPDE, a multinational solar company specialising in the
development, investment, construction and operation of solar photovoltaic plants,
has started construction of a new 6.9 MWp solar farm near Ashford in Kent.
The new solar farm represents a total investment of over £7 million and is
scheduled to be connected to the electricity network by December. The PV plant will
comprise approximately 27,000 solar modules and will generate enough electricity
to meet the equivalent annual demand of approximately 1,850 homes in the UK.
The new plant in Hothfield adds to the 8.9MWp solar farm in East Sussex, a project
announced in October. In addition, in April this year, construction of a 12MWp plant
began in Alresford, Hampshire, which confirms the Group has an active and
successful UK development pipeline.
In addition to this strong presence in the UK market, OPDE is also very active in the
development, investment and operation of new solar farms in several markets across
the world including, among others, Mexico and Brazil.

En la planta, que se ubica en la localidad de Hotfhfield,
en el condado de Kent (Inglaterra), se invertirán más
de 7 Millones de Libras (8,9 millones de euros).
• OPDE anunció el pasado mes de octubre el comienzo
de la construcción de otra nueva planta fotovoltaica de
8,9 MW en Eastbourne, en el condado de Sussex
Oriental (Inglaterra).
• La nueva planta forma parte del Pipeline de más de
200 MW de OPDE en UK.
• Equivaldrá al consumo de electricidad de más de 1.850
viviendas y evitará la emisión de 62.300 toneladas de
CO2 a la atmósfera durante toda su vida útil.
• Está previsto que la conexión a la red se realice el
próximo mes de diciembre.
• Está planta, junto con otras de inminente construcción
y las ya en marcha, permitirán completar a OPDE el
objetivo de conexión de 100 MW antes de marzo de
2015.
3 de noviembre de 2014.- La multinacional OPDE, especializada en el desarrollo e
inversión en parques fotovoltaicos, ha iniciado la construcción de una nueva
planta solar fotovoltaica de 6,9 MWp en la localidad de Hothfield, ubicada en
el condado de Kent, al sur de Inglaterra. Dicha planta supone una inversión total
de más de 7 millones de libras y está previsto que esté finalizada y conectada a
la red a finales del próximo mes de diciembre.
La nueva planta contará con casi 27.000 módulos solares y, una vez conectada,
dará servicio a 1.850 hogares del Reino Unido.
El inicio de construcción del nuevo parque en Hothfield, se suma al que anunció en
el mes de Octubre en East Sussex de 8,9 MWp que, junto al parque ya puesto en
marcha en abril de este mismo año de 12 MWp en Alresford (Hampshire), ponen de
manifiesto la gran actividad que el citado Grupo mantiene en curso.
Esta elevada actividad en Reino Unido se suma al proceso de internacionalización
de OPDE, compañía muy activa en otros mercados como los de México y
Brasil, entre otros, en el ámbito del desarrollo e inversión en nuevas plantas
solares fotovoltaicas.//
