150+ people came to the Family Night on
May 18th. Catechesis focused on future
spiritual growth for parishioners through
prayer ministry. Fr. Alex and his crew
served Chicken Parmigiana with pasta and
we had cake and ice cream for Fr. Pat
provided by Jarrow Club.

St. Bede
Catholic Church is seeking a director for the traditional
choir. This part-time position requires applicants to
have experience in vocal development and conducting,
be a practicing Catholic, and be available for the 8am
Sunday Mass and choir practice one night a week,
preferably Thursday. Duties include planning the
liturgy, previewing and purchasing music, and directing
the choir.

Dear Parishioners,
The Annual Priests' Retreat
begins Monday, May 30 and
ends June 2. After numerous
attempts to secure that Mass
would be celebrated daily, we
have discovered that there will
be no available priest to do so.
Therefore, no daily Mass will be
celebrated at St Bede May 31,
June 1 and 2. If there is any
change we will let you know.
Mass intentions offered on
these dates will be celebrated
at the retreat.

LOCAL ARTIST’S PAINTINGS IN THE GIFT
SHOP. St. Bede Gift shop has received a beautiful
Vacation Bible School dates
for this summer are June 13-16,
Monday thru Thursday. The day
starts at 9 and concludes at
11:30 in the Family Life Center.
Children entering K-5 through
rising 4th graders are invited. Registration forms
are in the Church vestibule, the Parish Office and
can be printed from the website home page stbede.org. Submit completed forms to the Parish
Office not later than Wednesday, June 8.

St Bede Parishioners extend help to family
who lost home in Tornado in Pike Road.
Francisco and Leticia Juarez were in their trailer on the
night of April 7th when an EF0 Tornado blew threw
tearing their home in half. St Bede parishioners reached
out to the family after a request for help. Through the
generosity of St Bede Parishioners and the St Vincent
de Paul Society, the family now has a home to live in.
God's Holy Spirit is at work in our hearts. May we give
him praise.

Requirements for Baptism

Parents must be married in the Catholic Church.
If a couple is civilly married or unmarried, they must
make an appointment to meet with the Pastor before
they can have their children baptized.
3. Children age 6 and under will receive the sacrament of
Baptism. From 7 and above, they will receive all three
sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Communion, and
Confirmation).
4. Parents must bring a copy of their marriage certificate
from the Church where they were married.
5. Godparents must be practicing Catholics. You may
have a proxy for a godparent/s who may be unable to
come.
6. To have your child baptized, contact Joan at 272-3463
to schedule a Baptism Preparation Class.
7. Baptism in English is every 3rd Sunday of each month
after the 10am Mass.

ONE MAN’S TRASH IS ANOTHER MAN’S
TREASURE! Catholic Social Services is coming to
St Bede on June 4-5 to collect potential treasures! We
happily accept clothing, household items, books, toys,
small appliances and furniture to be sold in our Thrift
Store. The proceeds from our Thrift Store go into our
Direct Aid program which helps the poor and needy with
necessities such as power bills and medications. So, do
your Spring cleaning now! You may drop off your
donations before or after all masses. All donations are
tax deductible!
If you haven’t been in the store in a while, stop by and
visit us at 4455 Narrow Lane Rd, Monday-Friday 10am-4pm.
