Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekend is the answer! Get away from the

The Vocations Committee seeks to encourage members of our parish to

THANK YOU to all who participated in the Tree of Hope this Advent by
taking a star ornament and bringing back a gift for a mother or baby. We
had an overwhelming response, and all of the gifts donated will benefit our
St William‟s Gabriel Project, which helps women in crisis pregnancy situations, and area maternity homes.
Adult Faith Formation—January 13

Ethics & Integrity In Ministry (EIM) Basic Workshop—January 22
A 3-hour Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) Basic Workshop on child
sexual abuse (formerly titled „Protecting God‟s Children‟), will be held on
January 22 from 9 a.m.—12 p.m. in the Parish Hall
Pro-Life Banquet ft. Msgr. Mike Sis—January 22
St. Helen Parish in Georgetown is having its first Pro-Life Banquet on Sat.,
January 22. Social hour begins at 6pm followed by dinner at 7pm. Cost is
only $12.50/person. Msgr. Mike Sis is the featured speaker and will talk on
"A People of Life".
The event will be in the parish St. Rita Activity Center at 2700 East University Drive in Georgetown. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the

This workshop is part of the diocesan EIM policies that were adopted in
January 2002 and revised in August 2008. All clergy and paid staff, and all
volunteers working with youth and vulnerable adults, at any parish or diocesan location, are required to complete a one-time Application for Ministry*
prior to beginning their work/service and attend an EIM workshop within 60
days of submitting the application. Please do not bring children to an EIM
workshop. Materials used in the workshop include testimonies from victims
and perpetrators of sexual abuse. If you have any concerns regarding
your attendance at a workshop, please contact Emily Hurlimann at (512)
949-2447 to make an alternative arrangement to receive your training.

Annual Texas Catholic Pro-Life Day—January 22
―Seven Steps in Woman’s Spirituality‖ Woman’s Retreat—February 5
Holy Family Catholic School - Applications for the 2011-12 school
year are now available online and are due by Friday, February 4, 2011.
Women‟s Retreat: The Catholic Daughters of St. William, Our Lady of the
Hills court 2415 is hosting a “ONE” day retreat on Saturday, February 5
from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the St. William Parish Hall. The even is FREE.
“Seven Steps in Women's Spirituality” will be facilitated by Sr. Helen
Raycraft, Dominican Preaching Team from South Austin. Catholic Daughters will supply lunch and snacks. Please call Mary Rutherford at

Join us for the annual Texas Catholic Pro-Life Day on Saturday, January
22! This state-wide prolife event begins with a prayer vigil at 7 a.m.
(meet at San Jose Parish), the Rosary for Life at 10 a.m. followed by the
Pro-Life Mass celebrated by Bishop Joe Vásquez at San Jose.
The Texas Rally for Life begins with a march to the south steps of the
Capitol starting at 1 p.m. After the Rally the Catholic Longhorns for Life will
host the Party for Life at the University Catholic Center.
