En sus pinturas, Mojé Assefjah desarrolla su propio y distintivo lenguaje visual. Las anchas y arqueadas franjas de
color explotan en todas direcciones y las pinceladas se entrelazan delicadamente, manteniendo al mismo tiempo un
dinamismo que se extiende por el espacio pictórico. Marcadas por un característico cromatismo, las piezas de la
artista iraniana se densifican y superponen llevando la mirada del espectador a niveles más profundos. Aplicando
múltiples y finas capas usando la prácticamente desaparecida técninca de la témpera de huevo y la tinta china, la
artista produce efectos cromáticos que evocan los frescos italianos del primer Renacimiento. La exuberante tonalidad
de los loops más oscuros del primer término del espacio pictórico constratan con la calcárea atmósfera del fondo.
A pesar de que la artista se compromete con una pintura no-representativa, sus piezas transmiten un sentimiento de
espacialidad y convocan asociaciaciones paisajísticas. Los mundos pictóricos de Assefjah se caracterizan por la
ligereza y la densidad estructural gracias a la alternancia de la transparencia y de la opacidad, de lo diurno y de la
oscuridad, creando como resultado una suerte de atmósfera misteriosa.
La abstracción lírica de Mojé Assefjah desafía la geometría cuadriculada de la artesanía tradicional persa. Sin embargo,
el carácter vegetal y floral de estas pinceladas curvilíneas y enroscadas aperece en los paisajes en minuatura de
estas manualidades tradicionales, especialmente en los estampados florales o en el antiguo diseño de alfombras.
Mojé Assefjah se trasladó a Munich donde se graduó en la Academia de Bellas Artes en 1999. Fue galardonada con
el premio Fine Arts of the Federal Ministry for Education and Research, y con la beca anual de la German Academic
Exchange Service (DAAD) para llevar a cabo una residencia en Roma. Sus exposiciones recientes incluyen Down To
