This year is the fiftieth anniversary
of OCME foundation. This is an
important occasion to ponder over
our future and to consider the
goals achieved and the social role
that OCME plays within the context,
in which we operate.
It is no longer possible for a firm
to confine itself to the economical
role of generating wealth for its
owners, but it has precise ethical
duties towards all resources it draws
from. Above all human resources,
i.e. the people that contribute to the
company success, have received
undivided attention. Much effort has
been put into protecting workers’
health and safety and into offering
them the best tools available on the
market.
The social role of a company like
OCME goes beyond the respect for
individuals. Environment protection
and recycling are two main focal
points of our company’s policy.
In OCME we have started a new
approach to the environmental
issue, trying hard to find solutions or
measures that help protect the environment and, after all, ourselves.
We have changed our habits and
implemented measures to increase
environmental awareness levels inside the company. We have cooperated
with Amps Ambiente srl, a division
of the AMPS group that deals with
waste management, street cleaning
and gardens and parks maintenance
in Parma and 24 towns in Parma
province. We have chosen to add less
polluting methane propelled vehicles
to our fleet of company cars, and we
have decided to use only diesel fuel
with low levels of sulphur for our
diesel vehicles.
Following several power cuts, due to
the hot and dry summer last year,
we have decided to reduce electricity
consumption to the bare minimum.
The results of these policies are
encouraging. We have recycled 30
tons of paper, 14 tons of glass, 20
tons of plastic, 30 tons of wood, 200
kg of batteries, together with metals,
expired medicines, paints, varnishes,
oils and other polluting materials.
This demonstrates that the whole
company has understood the importance of this change of habits.
What we are trying to achieve is to
transform a profit driven economical
entity into a socially aware one, which plays an active role in promoting
sustainable development.
In the meantime we have continued
with our work and have developed
new machines to enlarge our product
range. The last two machines have
given encouraging results, from
which we understood that this is
the way forward. One of them is
Auriga, our laser guided shuttle car
to automatically move goods around
factories, which has been installed
on numerous customers’ premises
and for which we have received
many orders. The other one is Hydra,
our newly born filler, which presents
innovations that set new technological standards in the field of drink
fillers. We thank the growing number
of customers that have entrusted us
and our machines with the duty to
fill, pack, palletise and move their
products and we reassure them
that in OCME they will always find a
partner ready to listen to them and
to assist them.

Este año se celebra el quincuagésimo
aniversario de la fundación de OCME.
Para nuestra Empresa ésta es una
ocasión importante para reflexionar
sobre nuestro futuro, mirando las
metas alcanzadas y el rol social que
una Empresa como OCME tiene con
respecto al contexto en el que actúa.
Ya no es posible para una Empresa
limitarse solamente al papel económico
de productor de riqueza para sí mismo ó
para su propietarios, sino tiene precisos
deberes éticos hacia todos los recursos
que consigue. Primero entre todos los
recursos humanos, es decir las personas
que contribuyen activamente al éxito
de la Sociedad, han disfrutado de una
atención primaria durante estos años.
Se han empleado muchos esfuerzos en
salvaguardar la seguridad y la salud de
los trabajadores, suministrándoles los
mejores instrumentos y conocimientos
del mercado.
Sin embargo la función social de una
empresa como OCME va más allá que el
respeto hacia los individuos: el cuidado
del medio ambiente y la actuación
sistemática del reciclaje son dos
puntos base en nuestra nueva filosofía
empresarial.
Es en esta óptica, esforzándonos en
encontrar soluciones ó medidas que
puedan ayudar al medio ambiente
(para ayudarnos - al final – a nosotros
mismos), por lo que en OCME hemos
empezado a relacionarnos con el
problema medio-ambiental. Hemos
colaborado con Amps Ambiente Srl,
empresa del Multiutility AMPS que
actúa en el sector de la gestión de
residuos, de la limpieza de calles y en
el cuidado de áreas verdes en Parma y
en 24 ayuntamientos de la Provincia.
En nuestra flota automovilística
empresarial han sido introducidos coches
con gas metano que producen menos
contaminación atmosférica y, para los
coches de gasóleo, se decidió utilizar solo
carburante con bajo índice de azufre.
El verano pasado, después de muchos
black-out energéticos debidos a la
temporada particularmente calurosa
y seca, hemos decidido reducir el
consumo de energía eléctrica a lo
estrictamente
indispensable.
Los resultados de estas políticas
son muy alentadores: 30 toneladas
de papel reciclado, 14 toneladas
de vidrio, 20 toneladas de plástico,
30 toneladas de madera, 200 Kg
de baterías, además de materiales
metálicos, medicinas caducadas,
pinturas y barnices, aceites y otros
contaminantes separados y recogidos.
Ésta es una señal muy importante
para demostrar que toda la Empresa
ha comprendido la importancia de este
viraje. Lo que estamos intentando hacer
es transformar un sujeto económico
tradicionalmente basado en el propio
beneficio convirtiéndose en una entidad
consciente de su propio papel social
y por esto en una parte activa del
desarrollo sostenible.
Mientras tanto, hemos seguido
trabajando, desarrollando más
máquinas para ampliar nuestra gama
de productos. Los dos últimos están
dando resultados muy alentadores que
nos hacen entender que estamos en
buen camino. Auriga, carretilla láser que
permite la movimentación automática
de productos, instalada ya en muchas
plantas y con una cartera de pedidos
verdaderamente entusiasmante, e Hydra
última incorporación en nuestra gama
de llenadoras, presenta innovaciones
que establecen nuevos estandares
tecnológicos en el campo de las
llenadoras de bebidas.
Agradecemos a todos los clientes que
han querido, siempre más numerosos,
confiar en nosotros, encomendándoles

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The new series of level fillers HYDRA is the ideal solution to bottle
still drinks (particularly water) with high levels of hygiene, level
precision and low maintenance.
HYDRA increases the range of electronic and mechanical OCME
fillers, which for nearly 50 years have been intended to handle very
delicate liquids (edible ones, petrochemical ones, detergents, etc.).
HYDRA is the result of the perfect synergy between technical
personnel with over 20 years of experience in filler design and a
manufacturing process that guarantees high quality machines.
The parts of the filler that are in contact with the product have been
designed to be easily cleaned, while the moving parts have been
designed to last even with hectic production schedules.
The new valves of the HYDRA filler are immersed in a ring shaped
tank that allows a high flow with low hydrostatic head. Filling valves
and tanks are designed to avoid product stagnation, which could
cause dangerous contamination.
Valves have been manufactured with a small number of
components and without any sliding gasket. Moreover valves have
been designed with air return completely separated from the
main tank. Valves can be easily disassembled to allow cleaning and
periodic maintenance operations which require little time.
The base-plate is manufactured in stainless steel AISI 304, with
inclined table, a channelling system for drops around the edge of the
plate and supporting feet with adjustable height.
All components that come into contact with products are
manufactured in stainless steel AISI 316 and EPDM, both resistant to
aggressive disinfectants like ozone, caustic soda, acids, etc.
Rinsing, drying and capping facilities can be integrated into HYDRA
fillers according to the specific needs of the customer.
FILLING VALVES WITHOUT DYNAMIC GASKETS
The thrust of the lifting jack allows the bottle to compress the upper
membrane and open the filling valve. The product starts to flow
inside the bottle through a wide section of the same valve.
Exhaust of the air contained in the bottle takes place through a
completely different channel in order to avoid any risk of product
contamination in the tank.
A deflector fixed to the nozzle assists the product flow by making the
liquid flow along the bottle sides, therefore avoiding any turbulence.

DESCRIPCIÓN GENERAL
La nueva serie de llenadoras a nivel HYDRA constituyen la solución
ideal para el llenado de líquidos no gasificados (agua en particular)
con altas exigencias de higiene, precisión de nivel y mantenimiento
limitado.
HYDRA va a completar la gama de llenadoras OCME, electrónicas y
mecánicas, que desde hace casi 50 años están dedicadas al llenado
de líquidos extremadamente delicados (alimentación, petroquímico,
productos detergentes, etc.). HYDRA es el resultado de la perfecta
sinergia entre un consolidado staff técnico con más de 20 años
de experiencia en la proyectación de llenadoras de bebidas y un
garantizado proceso productivo de maquinaria de alta calidad.
En esta óptica, las partes de contacto con el producto han
sido pensadas para una fácil limpieza, mientras las partes en
movimiento han sido proyectadas para una larga duración, también
durante ciclos productivos extremadamente críticos. En particular
las nuevas válvulas de la llenadora HYDRA se encuentran inmersas
en un tanque de forma anular que permite alto flujo con bajo
batiente hidrostático.
Las válvulas de llenado y tanque han sido realizadas de forma que
se eviten eventuales estancamientos de productos, posible causa
de contaminaciones peligrosas.
La válvula, proyectada con el retorno del aire completamente
separado del tanque principal, está compuesta por un número
extremadamente limitado de piezas y, en particular, no presenta
ninguna junta dinámica. Fácilmente desmontable, permite proceder
con limpiezas ó mantenimientos extraordinarios en plazos muy
reducidos. La estructura está realizada en acero inox AISI 304,
con plano superior inclinado, canaleta perimetral recoge-gotas y
patas de apoyo regulables en altura. Todas las partes en contacto
con el producto están realizadas en acero inox AISI 316 y en EPDM
resistentes a productos esterilizantes altamente agresivos (ozono,
soda, ácidos, etc.). Torretas de lavado, soplado y tapado son
integrables con la llenadora HYDRA según las distintas exigencias
del cliente.

El empuje del martinete de elevación permite a las botellas
comprimir la membrana superior, abriendo la válvula de llenado y
permitiendo que el producto empiece a fluir dentro de la botella a

The cycle ends when the liquid reaches the lower section of the
nozzle, which is fixed to the central part of the valve with an O-ring.
Thanks to the high performance of the valve, the level of the main
tank can be kept very low, so that the liquid level in the bottle is
very precise.
PET BOTTLES TRANSFER WITHOUT FORMAT CHANGE
(PATENTED)
An innovative system has been developed to allow the movement of
PET bottles through the machine.
It is possible to change bottle format without any change parts,
provided that the bottles have the same neck size.
The bottles are transferred by star wheels and guides in stainless
steel AISI 304, which hold the bottles underneath the neck ring.
At the machine infeed a patented system, made up of a star wheel
and a cam, places bottles at intervals suitable for the HYDRA filler.
At the outfeed a chain conveyor with electronic height regulation,
which adapts itself automatically to the different formats, moves
the bottles.
EXPERIMENTAL STATION
In the OCME Research and Development Department an experimental
station has been created with the aim to study and solve the various
technical issues of the drinks fillers.
Trials on experimental circuits include moving the PET bottles
gripping them by the neck lifting jacks wear and filling valves
precision. The continuous research work allows to verify project data
and improve them with the experimental phase findings.
LINE ENGINEERING
OCME boast a well-established and acknowledged experience as a
supplier of proven systems in the petrochemical, food and detergent
markets.
Being already a leader in the supply of end of line machines, OCME
today can present themselves as a supply of proven systems in the
drinks sector as well.
To reach this ambitious goal, OCME have expanded both the line
engineering and project management departments, to guarantee
quick response and total control over the order process.
Technical specifications and line layout are prepared according
to the customer’s various needs integrating products from other
suppliers if necessary.
OCME line engineering is developing new solutions to make the
systems extremely automated, in order to reduce to
the minimum manual intervention and therefore
labour.
The project management department uses
advanced tools for monitoring planning and
cost control in a precise and timely manner.
All project managers are prepared to work
with customers in an honest and open
partnership, reflecting OCME’s main aim to
satisfy the customer and to execute all work
to the common interest.

La evacuación del aire en las botellas se realiza a través de un
canal completamente separado, para evitar cualquier riesgo de
contaminación del producto contenido en el interior del tanque.
El flujo de producto es asistido por un deflector fijado en la boquilla,
para llenar a lo largo de los lados de la botella sin riesgo de
turbulencias.
El ciclo acaba cuando el liquido alcanza la sección inferior de la
boquilla que está fijado por medio de “O-ring” en el cuerpo central
de la válvula. Gracias a las elevadas prestaciones de la válvula,
es posible mantener un nivel extremamente bajo en el tanque
principal, que permite una precisión óptima de los niveles en la
botella.
TRANSFERENCIA BOTELLAS PET SIN CAMBIO FORMATO
(PATENTADO)
Un sistema innovador ha sido desarrollado para permitir la
transferencia de botellas PET a través de las distintas zonas de la
máquina. Es posible cambiar formato de botella sin sustituir ningún
utillaje a condición de que los mismos tengan las mismas medidas
de cuello. La transferencia de las botellas se produce mediante
estrellas y guías en acero inox Aisi 304 cuya finalidad es sostener las
botellas debajo del anillo del cuello.
A la entrada de la máquina, las botellas son distanciadas de
paso con la llenadora HYDRA a través de un sistema patentado
constituido de estrella y su correspondiente leva.
A la salida, la transferencia de las botellas se realiza mediante
una cinta a cadena con regulación electrónica de la altura, para
adaptarse automáticamente a los distintos formatos.
ESTACIÓN EXPERIMENTAL
En el Departamento de Investigación y Desarrollo OCME, se ha
creado una estación experimental con la finalidad de estudiar y, en
consecuencia, solucionar las distintas problemáticas técnicas de las
llenadoras de bebidas.
En particular se efectúan pruebas en circuitos experimentales
relativos a transferencia de las botellas PET con toma por el cuello,
desgaste martinetes de levantamiento y precisión de la válvula
de llenado. El continuo trabajo de investigación permite verificar
datos de proyecto y realizar mejoras descubiertas en fase de
experimentación.
INGENIERÍA DE LÍNEA
OCME goza de una consolidada y reconocida experiencia como
proveedor de instalaciones “llave en mano” en los mercados
petroquímico, de alimentación y detergentes.
Ya líder reconocido en el suministro de máquinas para el final de
línea, OCME hoy puede proponerse como proveedor “llave en mano”
también en la ingeniería industrial del sector de bebidas.
Para alcanzar este ambicioso objetivo OCME ha potencializado tanto
el reparto de Ingeniería de Línea como el del Project Management
para garantizar respuestas adecuadas y rápidas así como el control
global del pedido. Las especificaciones técnicas y el Layout de línea
se preparan de acuerdo con las distintas exigencias del cliente,
integrando eventuales productos de suministro de terceros en caso
que sea necesario. La ingeniería de línea OCME está desarrollando
nuevas soluciones para obtener instalaciones totalmente
automatizadas, reduciendo así al mínimo las intervenciones
manuales y, en consecuencia, la mano de obra.
El control del proyecto se realiza utilizando instrumentos avanzados
de “gestión” que ofrecen una monitorización precisa e inmediata de
las actividades de planificación y de control de los costes.
Todos los Project Managers están mentalmente predispuestos
a trabajar con los Clientes según una relación sincera de
“partnership”, que refleje el espíritu de OCME donde la satisfacción
global del Cliente es la finalidad principal, y donde todos los trabajos
son realizados pensando en el interés común.

AURIGA, el nuevo vehículo LGV fabricado por OCME se “abre
paso” entre nuestros clientes, permitiéndoles encontrar la
solución a las problemáticas habitualmente atadas a las
tradicionales carretillas con conductor:

AURIGA, the new LGV shuttle car manufactured by OCME, is
gaining ground among our customers. It gives them a way
to solve issues associated with the use of forklift trucks with
drivers:
• operators’ safety in the work areas
• goods safety
• precision, availability and efficiency of service
• product movements traceability
• control over missions priorities
• high management and operating costs.
OCME have improved the typical features of automated guided vehicles
to develop the model AURIGA, which, from the technological point of
view, is one of the most interesting LGV systems available at present.
Those features are:
• Reduction of waiting time in between missions thanks to the way
the system manages communications. OCME system is up to 4-5
times quicker than other systems available on the market.
• In systems with mixed vehicles with different dimensions transit
spaces are optimised.
• More flexibility in reflectors positioning, as OCME LGV can
operate with reflectors on one side only, not both
sides.
• Use of a second type of guidance system
together with the main laser guidance. The
mixed guidance system permits the shuttle car
to enter or run through areas not accessible to
the laser system.
• High speed (up to 1500 mm/Sec) even on bends.
• The LGV system and the layout are very easy to
customise or modify.
The above has been possible due to OCME’s
traditional policy of manufacturing their products with
commercially available high quality components and
developing programmes without being restricted by a
partner.
OCME LGV shuttle cars’ extreme versatility enables
them to manage in the best possible way all pallet
transfers from receipt to shipment and to supply the
production lines with consumables as well.
The recent installations of AURIGA systems
demonstrate and confirm the high quality level reached
and stress the expertise and service that OCME can
offer their customers.

más interesantes actualmente disponibles en el
sector.

4-5 veces más rápido que los actuales en
el mercado.
• Optimización de los espacios de tránsito
en los sistemas con vehículos mixtos de

OCME non necesita cobertura total
y pueden ser posicionados en un

tramos curvilíneos.
• Extrema sencillez de personalización ó de modificación durante la
instalación del sistema LGV y del layout operativo.
Todo esto ha sido posible gracias a la política tradicional seguida
por OCME al realizar sus propios productos, utilizando componentes
de comercio de indiscutible nivel cualitativo y con la realización de
programas desvinculados de las limitaciones ligadas a partners.
Las muchas posibilidades de adaptación, hacen de los LGV OCME
un sistema de extrema versatilidad, capaz de resolver
de la mejor forma no solamente la movimentación
de las paletas, tratando toda la logística interna
como recepción, almacenamiento y expedición, sino
también los servicios de soporte en la entrada y en el
interior de las áreas de producción.
Las instalaciones más recientes realizadas
por OCME con su sistema de AURIGA prueban
y confirman el nivel cualitativo alcanzado,
evidenciando no poner ninguna palabra los
conocimientos y el servicio que OCME puede
garantizar a sus Clientes.

In 1996, after 30 years experience of weight filling
containers from 20kg to 200kg, the first filler for small
containers (Libra R5) was manufactured.
In 2004, we propose the second version of Libra, which combines
the experience of those years with current market demands and the
dictations of ever changing norms.
This machine is made up of modules and stands out for 4 main
features that meet present requirements.
1)FILLING VALVES featuring: continual development to avoid any
turbulence, which can generate foams and disturb the liquid
flow; large openings suitable for viscous products; no dynamic
gaskets; innovative external command with choice to fill in one
or two phases and to enter the container according to the kind of
product and /or container.
2)LOAD CELLS of the off-centre kind, approved, manufactured by
OCME to AISI 316L, with protection against wash IP67 and a
shape that allows complete drainage.
3)CONTROL CARDS located in IP67 boxes on the easily accessible
external part of the machine. Every card controls 2 valves. New
management software improves the control of the filling process
and the final weight.
4)PRODUCT TANK of extremely simple shape, without internal
corners, self-draining and without any moveable internal part
controlling the nozzles, which could create turbulence and foam
and is difficult to clean.
N.B. The machine can be supplied also in the following versions:
• HYGIENIC according to the EHEDG standards (European Hygienic
Equipment Design Group).
• T.P.M. (Total Productive Maintenance) with the purpose to
improve efficiency and to optimise preventative and ordinary
maintenance times and procedures.
• APPROVED by the Metric Office according to IOLM R 51
(International Organization of Legal Metrology) norms, which
allows the user to avoid using on-line checkweighers or the need
to manually checkweigh.
• Many options are available to make the machine suitable for
various customers’ needs.

Después de treinta años de experiencia en el llenado a peso
de envases de 20 y 200 Kg, en 1996 se fabricó la primera
llenadora destinada a envases pequeños (LIBRA R5), y
ahora en 2004 estamos proponiendo la 2á versión de la LIBRA que
conjuga la experiencia desarrollada estos años, las peticiones del
mercado y los imperativos de las normativas en constante evolución.
La máquina de construcción modular se distingue por 4 puntos
fundamentales que satisfacen las exigencias actuales.
1)VÁLVULA DE LLENADO caracterizada por un desarrollo axial para
evitar turbulencias que pueden generar espuma e interferencias
en el vertido del líquido. Secciones anchas de paso, útiles
para productos de alta viscosidad y sin juntas dinámicas.
Mando innovador externo con posibilidad de llenar en 1 ó 2
fases, y entrar en el contenedor según el tipo de producto y/o de
contenedor.
2)CELDAS DE CARGA homologadas de tipo “off center”, sin levas,
de fabricación OCME. Realizadas en AISI 316 L con sistema de
protección de lavado IP 67, permite el drenaje completo.
3)TARJETAS DE CONTROL posicionadas en la parte externa de la
máquina de fácil acceso en cajitas IP67. Cada tarjeta controla
2 válvulas. Nuevo S.W. de gestión para mejorar el control del
llenado y del peso final.
4)TOLVA de forma extremadamente simple sin esquinas en el
interior, auto-drenante y sin ninguna parte móvil interna para
controlar las boquillas de llenado que pueda causar turbulencia,
espuma y dificultades en la limpieza.
N. B. La máquina se puede suministrar en las versiones siguientes:
•HIGIÉNICA según las normas EHEDG (European Hygienic
Equipment Design Group)
•T.P.M. (Total Productive Maintenance) cuya finalidad es mejorar

PETROCHINA and OCME have reached an
agreement for the supply of two complete lube oil
filling lines for PETROCHINA operation in China.
This agreement will allow PETROCHINA to maintain its
leadership position in lube oil production in China and will
strength the relationship with OCME that dates back to the
beginning of 90’s. The filling lines include the most advanced
technologies in both filling and palletizing.
With the new LIBRA fillers, PETROCHINA will be able to fill up
containers of 4kg capacity with an accuracy better than 0.5

operation, thanks to the ALBATROS supervisor that controls all
the machine functionality, double stage filling that allows to
reach unbeatable accuracy and a design that has been created
to reach the minimum possible changeover and flushing/
drainage time.
One of two lines will also feature a robot palletizing system that
will be the first supplied for China by OCME. Robot palletizing
is becoming more and more common and is replacing the
conventional palletizing because of its high reliability, high
flexibility and the highest MTBF. The robot palletizer will be
displayed at the next China Brew & Beverage Exhibition in
Beijing from 6th to 10th September 2004.

NEW SHRINK TUNNEL NUEVO TÚNEL DE
RETRACCIÓN
In the infeed section (first module) the film is inflated by warm
air in order to shrink it without any contact between the film
and the product.
In the outfeed section (second module) the shrinking is completed and the film is welded when the warm air exits through the
mesh conveyor.
En la sección de entrada (primer módulo), el aire caliente infla
el film de manera que se retraiga sin entrar en contacto con el

The new market demands require a pack aesthetically
perfect and compact. This demand has induced us to
develop a new shrink tunnel that can control every element
that determines the correct film shrinkage.
For all configurations in single, double and triple track, a side
blowing system blows the air directly inside the pack, directing and improving the air flow.

OCME have started installing the new tunnels at the end of
2003, obtaining favourable reactions from customers.
We can hold up as an example the shrinkwrapper model Vega
N70/2, which has been running since March 2004 on the
2-litre line at Vittel (Nestlé Waters). The quality assurance
service has acknowledged that the shrinkage and the appearance of the printed area on the pack have clearly improved
with this machine.
OCME ha empezado a instalar túneles nuevos desde final de
2003, obteniendo opiniones muy favorables entre los clientes.
Un ejemplo es la enfardadora modelo VEGA N70/2 en
producción desde marzo 2004 en Vittel (Nestlé Waters) en
la línea 2 Lt., para la cual el Departamento Calidad ha
reconocido una mejora neta de la retracción y de la estética
de la impresión sobre el fardo.

following goals: to reduce maintenance costs, to improve the
thermal efficiency and to shorten the tunnel length.
To this end resistances are in stainless steel, cables are in
nickel, the oven cleaning brush is made of wire and the lubrication of the oven belt chain guides is centralized.

Desarrollo”, además de la mejora cualitativa del fardo, es
la reducción de los costes de mantenimiento, una mejor
eficiencia térmica y una reducción de la longitud del túnel.
Con este objetivo se han utilizados resistencias en INOX,
cables de alimentación al NÍQUEL, un cepillo de limpieza de
la cinta a red y la lubricación centralizada para las guías de
las cadenas de la cinta.

In the last few years it has become evident that
After Sales Services are generally playing a
more and more important role in all industries.
There has been a transition from companies
traditionally structured to provide products to
companies structured to provide services to
customers; this is quite evident in
OCME Srl After Sales Service Department
which in the past few years, has increased
and expanded the services offered, aiming at
developing and consolidating a real partnership
with customers.
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
Technical expertise, problem-solving ability,
professionalism and the ability to establish a
relationship with customers are qualities that
improve constantly in every OCME technician.
The wide range of machines manufactured and
the goal of improving the level of service has
caused the technical team to expand.
During 2004 besides the usual technical
refresher courses there will be formative
programmes that will emphasize the theme of
safety on the workplace in order to develop an
even more safety conscious culture.
To reduce call out times to customers this year
the presence of local technicians based around
the world will become even more widespread.
Poland, Venezuela and France will be added to
the areas already covered.
The help desk service will become more
effective with the spreading of remote
assistance. This requires a modem to be
installed in the machine control panel, so that
from Parma we can connect to the machine
CPU on line and troubleshoot very quickly.
TRAINING
It is fundamental to have well trained
machine operators to reach higher and
higher production levels. The innovations
introduced on the machines make technical
refresher courses a constant necessity.
The customer training service, was created in
2003 and quickly met with approval. During
2004 it will be extended with further options.
Beside the courses on customer’s premises and
in Parma, there will be 10 training sessions
in various languages throughout the year on
different machine types. The use of multimedia
tools will be intensified in order to create high
quality technical documentation.
SERVICE AGREEMENTS
Service agreements are a mixture of services
and offers for customers to keep machines in
good conditions throughout their lives.
Service agreements with their different options
aim at offering each customer a service that
preserves machines and system efficiency at its
best and keeps spare parts consumption under
control.
During 2004 we are concentrating on proposing
solutions customized to the specific needs of
each plant with the help of our specialists.
UPGRADES
This service includes all machine
improvements and upgrades with the most up
to date technological solutions, the supply of
change parts to produce new formats and the
addition of accessories to machines and/or
systems.
A team of specialists visits customers
periodically in order to discuss with
them what improvements could be made
successfully.
In the year 2003 this service was met with
approval, as the increase in activity shows.
The objectives for 2004 are firstly to broaden
the range of upgrades offered for OCME
machines already installed and then to make
this range known among all OCME customers.
Moreover, we aim at further reducing the
response time for quotes and the delivery time
for orders.
As has already happened in 2003, particular
attention will be paid to inform customers
of components that become obsolete and of
possible alternatives to them.
SPARE PARTS
The timely delivery of spare parts and their
quality are of strategic importance to every
customer.
In 2004 we aim to spread the access to Net
Spares, the system which enables customers to
obtain prices and to place orders on the web.
Important is also the improvement of delivery
times for spare parts, which will be further
shortened thanks to agreements with our
suppliers and to a better management of our
warehouse.
Moreover the recommended spare parts lists
will have an indication of the labour required to
install each item.
SECOND HAND MACHINES
For the purpose of completing the range of
services offered, OCME will undertake to
meet customers’ requests also for second
hand machines, whose OCME origin will be a
guarantee of functioning and quality.

los últimos años ha efectuado un programa de
ampliación y potencialización de los servicios
ofrecidos, cuya finalidad es desarrollar y consolidar
auténticas relaciones de “partnership” con los
Clientes.
ASISTENCIA TÉCNICA
Conocimientos técnicos, capacidad de Solución
de Problemas, profesionalismo y capacidad de
relación con la clientela son las características
constantemente definidas en cada técnico OCME.
La diversificación de la gama de máquinas
producidas y el objetivo de elevar el nivel del
servicio, hacen que el team de técnicos siga
ampliándose constantemente.
En el transcurso del 2004 junto a los habituales
cursos de actualización técnica, en los programas
formativos se dará un énfasis especial a la
divulgación de los temas relacionados con la
seguridad en el puesto de trabajo, para desarrollar
todavía más la cultura de la seguridad
Para poder intervenir en las plantas de los Clientes
con la máxima celeridad, en el curso de este año
se ampliará aún más la presencia de técnicos
localizables en todo el mundo. A las áreas ya
tradicionalmente cubiertas, se añaden Polonia,
Venezuela y Francia.
El Servicio de “help-desk” será todavía más
eficaz mediante una intensa divulgación de la
Teleasistencia. Esta consiste en la instalación de
un MODEM en el cuadro máquina de manera que
desde la sede de Parma sea posible conectarse
on-line con las CPU de las máquinas equipadas de
este servicio y por lo tanto permite una actividad
de trouble-shooting extremamente rápida.
CAPACITACIÓN
La necesidad de tener personal bien instruido en
manejar las máquinas es una exigencia prioritaria
para alcanzar eficiencias productivas siempre
más elevadas. Las innovaciones aportadas a
las máquinas hacen que sea absolutamente
necesaria una continua actualización técnica.
El Servicio de training a los Clientes, nacido en
2003, ha alcanzado un gran éxito.
Durante el 2004 se ampliará intensificando la
propuesta: además de los cursos organizados tanto
entre los Clientes como en nuestra Sede, ha sido
calendarizado con 10 sesiones (para cada una se
especifica el idioma del curso) distribuidas a lo largo
del año sobre tipologías de máquinas específicas.
Asimismo se incrementará la utilización
de herramientas multimedia para que la
documentación técnica de soporte sea de un alto
nivel cualitativo
CONTRATOS DE ASISTENCIA
Los contratos de asistencia son soluciones
compuestas de un mix de servicios y ofertas
a clientes de manera que las máquinas se
mantengan en condiciones óptimas durante toda
su vida.
Los contratos de asistencia ofrecidos, en sus
diferentes opciones, intentan ofertar a cada
Cliente un servicio que mantenga la eficiencia de
las máquinas ó de las instalaciones a los niveles
más altos posible durante largos períodos y tener
monitorizado el consumo de repuestos al mismo
tiempo.
En 2004 se tenderá a una mayor actividad de
auditoria de nuestros especialistas de manera
que las soluciones propuestas sean realizadas de
acuerdo con las exigencias especificas de cada
planta.
ACTUALIZACIONES
El Servicio incluye principalmente todas las
propuestas de mejoras y modernización de
las máquinas existentes con las más actuales
soluciones tecnológicas, el suministro de
los utillajes necesarios para tratar formatos
adicionales, la integración de máquinas y/o
instalaciones con accesorios.
Un team de especialistas visita periódicamente los
clientes a fin de verificar, junto a ellos, que mejoras
podrían resultar aplicables con éxito.
En 2003 este Servicio ha obtenido muchos éxitos,
avalados por un incremento sensible del volumen de
las actividades.
Los objetivos principales para el 2004 son ampliar
el catálogo de los upgrades ofertados sobre las
máquinas OCME instaladas y divulgarlo entre todos
los clientes de OCME.
Además se tenderá a reducir quitar palabra o bien
poner posteriormente que no me gusta mucho esta
palabra tanto los tiempos de emisión de las ofertas
requeridas como el plazo de entrega de los pedidos.
Come ya ocurrió en 2003, se pondrá mucha atención
a facilitar información de eventuales componentes
obsoletos y de las posibles alternativas de solución
REPUESTOS
La celeridad en la entrega de repuestos y la calidad
de los mismos son un servicio estratégicamente
fundamental por las exigencias de cada cliente.
Los objetivos de mejora del Servicio para el 2004
ante todo son la completa divulgación del sistema
de consulta listados y envío pedidos vía web (Net
Spare).
Igualmente importante será el programa de mejoras
de los plazos de entrega de repuestos que, gracias
a acuerdos alcanzados con nuestros proveedores y a
la optimización de la gestión de nuestro almacén, se
reducirá posteriormente.
Asimismo se detallará las listas de repuestos
aconsejados con la indicación de las horas de
trabajo por cada código.
MAQUINA USADAS
Al fin de completar la gama de los servicios
ofertados, OCME se comprometerá a satisfacer
también las peticiones de los clientes con respecto
a máquinas de segunda mano, para las cuales la
procedencia de OCME será de todas formas una
garantía de funcionamiento y de calidad.

OCME have decided to reopen a sales and service office
for French clients in Paris. The director of the office is Mr
Michel Quondam, which has acquired a long experience in the
bottling field in USA. The new office will offer French customers
sales and above all service assistance for new and existing
machines.
We wish Michel a profitable and satisfying career.
Open-House Tissue
The introduction of major customers in the tissue sector to the
integrated system of packing and palletising has been a great
success.
The system has been created by OCME in cooperation with Tmc
Bologna. Both firms have put much effort in creating a system to
pack and palletise loose products. The attending customers have
also appreciated the laser guided shuttle car Auriga designed
and manufactured by OCME.
OCME ha decidido abrir de nuevo una oficina de venta y
servicios en París, destinada a los clientes franceses. El
responsable de la oficina es el Sr. Michel Quoniam, con una
gran experiencia obtenida en los EEUU en el sector del embotellado. La nueva oficina seguirá los clientes en el territorio
francés desde un punto de vista comercial y principalmente de
servicios, para las instalaciones nuevas y existentes.

Open-House Tissue
Tuvo mucho éxito la presentación del sistema integrado de confeccionamiento y paletización ante los más importantes clientes
del sector del tissú.
El sistema realizado en colaboración por OCME y Tmc de Bolonia
ha visto premiados los esfuerzos que las dos empresas han
dedicado a la realización de un sistema de confeccionamiento y
paletización de productos sueltos. Los clientes reunidos alrededor del sistema en funcionamiento han valorado positivamente
la carretilla de guía láser Auriga diseñada y producida por OCME.
