And find a way somehow to make the world I live in a little better place. And make life with it’s problems a little bit easier to face. Grant me faith and courage and put purpose in my days. And show me how to serve in effective ways, so my education, my knowledge and my skill may find their true fulfillment as I learn to do Thy will. And may I ever be aware in everything I do, that knowledge comes from learning, and Wisdom comes from You, amen. “In all your ways be mindful of Him, and He will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5 SAVE THE DATES Men’s Meeting Mass For Life Every Sat. TENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME JUNE 5, 2016 DAILY PRAYER FOR HURRICANE SEASON Dear God, our Father, Creator of the Universe and Lord over all creation. We humbly stand before you as your children and ask that you keep us safe from all hurricanes which may threaten us. Protect us from all fear and anxiety of storms and give us an ardent trust and hope in Your Love and Mercy. You alone have the power to command the sea, the wind and the rain. You alone bring peace, calm and safety. Father, we thank you in advance, for you are our only Refuge. We ask this through Christ, Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever, amen Mother Mary, Star of the Sea, pray for us. Hurricane Season is from June 1 - November 30, 2016 Lk.7:14 www.cccgh.com ENGLISH MINISTRY, YOUTH AND FORMATION NEWS www.cccgh.com Breaking Bread Homeless Ministries News From The Streets… Healing By Mary Martha Primerano Today we spotted Wendell Right (not his real name) lying on the ground next to a gas station located off I-45 and Scott Street. He could barely raise his head and speak to us. Wendell began to explain that he is not really homeless, but has a praying wife and a home in Katy, Texas. Every once in a while he’ll binge on drugs, and today was one of those days. We found him (for the second time) in great pain. As he spoke he began to hold his chest, and cry out to God explaining that he did not want to die like this. After prayer we suggested that he go home, and to once and for all turn his back to drugs. He agreed, but asked for additional prayer and strength to say no!! The team prayed, and once we finished he said “this is bizarre!! My chest pain is gone”. He jumped up and began to praise God and explain that he was going home. We told him we never want to see him on the streets again, and look forward to a great reunion with him in heaven. What a wonderful thing it is to witness God’s healing touch on the streets.
