INVOLVEMENT IN ENERGY EFFICIENCY
Gayafores has two facilities for heat recovery by hot oil
recirculation. We capture the heat of cogeneration gas exhausts
and the residual heat of our plant firing kilns, saving natural gas
and making major reductions in our CO 2 emissions every year.*
We monitor atmospheric emissions in two ways: as particles
through dry aspiration filters with on-line monitoring to verify proper
functioning, and as combustion emissions, audited and verified
by the relevant government collaboration agencies according
to Integrated Environmental Authorisation directives. We are fully
committed to complying with the Kyoto Protocol to improve our
environment and slow down climate change.
We also make efficient use of water in the production process and
our packaging system reduces materials and waste to a minimum.
* These measures result in a reduction of 649 tonnes of CO2/year in
atmospheric emissions for a maximum air working temperature of 185oC.
IMPLICADOS EN LA EFICIENCIA ENERGÉTICA
Gayafores cuenta con dos instalaciones para la recuperación de
calor por aceite térmico. Para aprovechar el calor de los gases
de escape de cogeneración y para el aprovechamiento del calor
residual de los hornos de cocción de la planta consiguiendo así
un ahorro de gas natural y por tanto una importante disminución
de emisiones de CO2 al año.*
Controlamos las emisiones atmosféricas tanto a nivel de partículas
a través de los filtros de aspiración de vía seca, monitorizados
on-line para verificar el correcto funcionamiento, como las
emisiones de combustión, que son auditadas y verificadas por la
ECA correspondiente según nos marcan las directrices de la AAI
(Autorización Ambiental Integrada), con el compromiso de cumplir
con el Protocolo de Kyoto, que vela por la mejora medioambiental
para evitar el cambio climático.
Asimismo hacemos un uso eficiente de aguas en el proceso
productivo y tenemos un sistema de embalaje que reduce al
mínimo materiales y residuos.
* Disminución de 649 toneladas de CO2/año en emisiones atmosféricas
para una temperatura máxima de trabajo del aire de 185oC.
